Thanks for the clarification Becky. It explains the absence of certain marriage records and possibly why Hannah Barber may have ended her days in New Zealand. The families of Charles F. F. Wordsworth are diverse and scattered to say the least.

Hi Tony

Charles didn't marry all the mothers of his children! My line is not a legitimate one... From mine and other's research for Georgina we have a wedding of 06 Aug 1834.

Regards

Amongst your ancestors I see:
56. Charles Favell Forth Wordsworth, M, b. 27 Sep 1803, d. 18 Feb 1874, m.(1) Ann Wills Waite , m.(2) 06 Aug 1834 Georgina Wood , m.(3) 23 Jun 1841 Elizabeth Parker , m.(4) Hannah Barber , m.(5) Caroline Lisette Wallace

Charles was barrister and plainly not averse to matrimony.
His younger sister, Elizabeth Matilda Forth Wordsworth, b. 1 Jul 1811, married Charles William Wood who was also a barrister and my maternal ancestor

Consequently I am particularly interested in Georgina Wood; could she have been Charles W. Wood's sister?
The Wood family lived at Henrietta St, Covent Garden. in the period roughly 1790-1830. The father of Charles W. was a John Wood; his mother was Ann.

I have little evidence for the existence of Georgina, or of the marriage to Charles F. F. Wordsworth. If you do have more information I would be most grateful for anything you could share it.

Sincerely,

Tony Maple
