My ancestors

When I started to look at my great, great grandfather’s family tree I only knew his name and dates of birth and death. By using census data plus parish records I have taken it much further back. The tables below show 3 of the generations I have unearthed but the tree now goes back to the mid 1600s. We had thought the family were all long term Derbyshire but it transpired that in the 18th century the Band side were living over the county border in Cheshire.

The lower table shows the sorts of data I have collected for this particular ancestor including the census references where applicable.
